Bandar Seri Begawan: Following the heavy rains and risk of flooding at this time, the Ministry of Health reminds the public, especially those living in areas affected by floods, to take precautionary measures to prevent and avoid any accidents, injuries, and the possibility of food and water-borne infectious diseases.

According to Radio Television Brunei, it is crucial for individuals in flood-prone areas to ensure their water supply is clean and uncontaminated. The ministry advises boiling drinking water or using bottled water to ensure safety. Thorough cooking of food is also emphasized to prevent health risks.

Personal hygiene is a priority, with the ministry urging residents to wash hands with clean water and soap after using the toilet. Maintaining the cleanliness of the surroundings is also important in reducing health hazards during floods.
