Post: Government Vows Justice for Mindanao State University Bombing Victims

Marawi City - Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity, has vowed to bring the perpetrators of the recent bombing at Mindanao State University in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, to justice. In a statement issued on Sunday, Galvez strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a ruthless act that has no place in a civilized and peaceful society. He assured that the Marcos Administration is committed to thoroughly investigating the incident and ensuring that those responsible face legal consequences.

According to Philippines News Agency, the timing of the bombing, which occurred during a Catholic mass, reflects the extreme measures used by lawless elements to instill fear and discord among the people. He emphasized the government's determination to prevent such acts of violence. Galvez expressed his heartfelt condolences and prayers to the families of the victims and the MSU community, encouraging them to find strength and courage amid the tragedy.

Galvez also revealed that his office is actively coordinating with the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao to provide necessary assistance to the victims and their families. He called for national unity and cooperation to prevent similar incidents in the future, underscoring the importance of fostering a culture of peace, mutual understanding, and solidarity across the nation.
