His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented for the country’s national flag to be hoisted at half-mast. The hoisting began from 8am, 19th September, until 8am, 20th September.
The national flag is hoisted at half-mast at all government buildings, including all Brunei Darussalam representative offices abroad on occasion of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second. Commonwealth countries such as Australia, Malaysia and the Republic of Singapore also hoisted their respective flags at half-mast to express their mourning for the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second on Thursday, 8th of September 2022 at the age of 96.
