First Meeting of 21st Legislative Council Session Concludes with $6.35 Billion Budget Allocation


Bandar Seri Begawan: After 14 days of deliberations characterized by mutual respect, harmony, and goodwill, especially during the month of Ramadhan, the First Meeting of the 21st Legislative Council Session was adjourned. A total of $6.35 billion was allocated for the national budget for the Financial Year 2025/2026.



According to Radio Television Brunei, the national budget for the Financial Year 2025-2026 retains the theme, ‘Building A Prosperous Future Together’. This theme aims to ensure continuity and a consistent approach in implementing the budget policies and objectives. The focus is on three priorities: improving public well-being and productivity, instilling resilient economic diversity, and developing dynamic and visionary human capital.



The discussions and decisions made during the First Meeting of the 21st Legislative Council Session aim to ensure that future generations will have opportunities similar to those available now, with the hope of even greater prospects in the future.
