Brunei Run Event Attracts Over 1,200 Participants for World Heart Day 2025
Bandar seri begawan: Over 1,200 participants took part in the Brunei Run event in conjunction with World Heart Day 2025. Hosted by Gleneagles Jerudong Park Medical Centre, JPMC, it was held at the Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was flagged-off by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, who also serves as Chairman of Gleneagles JPMC. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, was also present at the event.
The run was divided into different categories, including a 10-kilometre run for both male and female participants, a 5-kilometre Fun Run, and a 2.5-kilometre Fun Run. This year’s World Heart Day theme, ‘Don’t Miss a Beat,” focuses on individual responsibility, community efforts, and preventive actions for cardiovascular health.
