JAKARTA: The 'Petualangan Rimba' Team has successfully reached the summits of Mount Kerinci and Mount Talang in West Sumatra, Indonesia. This achievement marks a significant milestone in their ongoing mission to conquer the Seven Summits of Indonesia. A key highlight of the expedition was hoisting the Brunei Darussalam flag at the summit, symbolizing their accomplishment.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the 14-member hiking team underwent rigorous preparation before embarking on their expedition. They engaged in intensive training activities, including jungle trekking and hiking in various locations such as Temburong District, 'Bubungan Dua Belas', Kamser, and Labi to ensure both physical and mental readiness for the challenging journey.
The eight-day expedition included not only the ascent of two mountains but also the exploration of four nearby waterfalls, showcasing the team's commitment to fully experiencing the natural landscapes of West Sumatra. Established in 2022, the 'Petualangan Rimba' Team remains steadfast in their pursuit of conquering all Seven Summits of Indonesia, with future expeditions planned in regions like Java, Sembalun, and West Sumatra.
