Bandar Seri Begawan - The project 'Empowering Rural and Urban Resilience: Holistic FloodTech' secured the Research and Development category at the BICTA Awards recently.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the initiative addresses flood challenges and water quality issues in urban and rural areas of Brunei Darussalam. The project involves a monitoring system that not only detects water levels and quality during floods but also integrates a warning system. Currently implemented in six locations in Tutong District, plans are underway to expand to other districts, aiming to mitigate flood impacts and enhance water quality.
