Jerudong: Jerudong Park Medical Centre, JPMC, received an official visit from the delegation of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, led by Her Excellency Mrs ‚¬°lia Ant³nio de Araºjo dos Reis Amaral, Minister of Health.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the delegation was welcomed by Dayangku Hajah Dewi Sarwani binti Pengiran Haji Sarpuddin, a member of the JPMC Board of Directors, and Doctor Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Professional as Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health. The delegation received a briefing on the institution's capabilities, which was followed by a guided tour of the Brunei Neuroscience Stroke and Rehabilitation Centre and The Brunei Cancer Centre. They also had opportunities to engage with healthcare professionals.
The visit highlights the significance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector between the two nations. It aims to foster the exchange of knowledge and expertise while enhancing regional collaboration to address shared healthcare priorities. This initiative reflects the continued commitment of both countries to advance healthcare standards and promote mutual understanding.
