Central Luzon CARP Beneficiaries to Showcase Products at Pampanga Trade Fair

Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines – Agrarian reform beneficiaries from Central Luzon will present a diverse range of food and non-food products at the four-day Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) Regional Trade Fair at Marquee Mall, starting November 16. The fair, themed ‘Likha ng ARBs: Ipagmalaki at Tangkilikin,’ is in its sixth year and will feature 107 beneficiaries from the seven provinces of the region, including Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales.

According to Philippines News Agency, the participants are families who have been supported by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through various programs, including livelihood skills training and shared service facilities. DTI 3 information officer Nerson Romero stated that the trade fair will showcase agricultural products and other goods produced by CARP beneficiaries who have ventured into business. The array of products includes coco jam, ginger candies, bamboo handicrafts, sabutan products, bagoong, cashew nuts, garlic chips, gourmet tuyo, tinapa, bangus, processed meat, fish, dairy products, bread products, dairy items, herbal tea, coffee, camote chips, pots, furniture, handicrafts, turmeric-based products, and more.

Pampanga will offer kitchen wares, bags, corporate souvenirs, delicacies like yema, boat tarts, homemade nuts, chili pastes, and fruit juices. Tarlac’s contributions include sweet potato wine, essential oils, peanut butter, chicharon, soft brooms, corn husk products, mushroom, and calamansi products. Zambales farmers will present mango products, cassava chips, candied sesame, pickled products, and bamboo-based handicrafts. The fair aims to promote and support the entrepreneurial endeavors of CARP beneficiaries.
