BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – The Brunei Shell Marketing Company's (BSM) annual recognition event, the BSM Chairman's Awards 2023, was graced by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office. The illustrious event took place at the Empire Brunei on the night of November 1st, where the Crown Prince presented awards to distinguished recipients.
According to Radio Television Brunei, upon arrival, His Royal Highness was welcomed by senior officials including Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina and Awang Muhammad Norshafiee, BSM’s Managing Director. The event commenced with a Doa selamat, a prayer for safety and wellbeing, led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.
The Managing Director of BSM in his address highlighted the company's collaborative efforts with its business partners to meet community standards. The address underscored BSM's dedication to excellence and set the tone for the award presentations that followed.
Dayang Erdiana Mulyati binti Abdul Rahim, Head of Commercial at BSM, announced the categories and nominees, leading up to the award presentations by His Royal Highness. Eleven awards were conferred upon BSM business partners in various categories.
Mabohai Petrol Station received the 'Most Improved Retail Operational Performance' award. The 'Best Retail Operational Excellence' accolade was awarded to IBA Petrol Station Sendirian Berhad, while Awang Mohammad Khairul Ridzuan bin Sahari was recognized as the Best Retail Service Champion. The 'Best RTC Driver Award' was secured by Awang Muhd Aiman Bin Abd Rahman Suge. Overseas Agency Company Sendirian Berhad was celebrated for Best LPG Operational Excellence.
The accolades continued with Awang Muhammad Hadif H Hamizan Bin Saini, a student at IBTE - Mechanical Campus, earning the 2023 Shell Star Master Mechanic Award. The 'General Mechanics' category was won by Denson Alvarez Panopio. NBT Brunei Sendirian Berhad received a Token of Appreciation for their services.
Further distinctions for Best Sales Performance were awarded to NBT Brunei Sendirian Berhad, Setia Motors Sendirian Berhad, and Grand Auto Sendirian Berhad. Boustead Sendirian Berhad triumphed with the Best Commercial Operational Excellence award. Additionally, NBT Brunei Sendirian Berhad was honored for Best Corporate Social Responsibility, with QAF Auto Sendirian Berhad receiving a special mention in the same category.
Lastly, Boustead Sdn Bhd took home the Best Marketing Award for Best Customer Excellence Marketing, and NBT Brunei Sendirian Berhad achieved the Best Marketing Award for Best Digital Marketing Initiative.
The Chairman's Awards 2023 was a ceremony that not only recognized the excellence and commitment of BSM's business partners but also their crucial role in supporting the nation's mobility and service standards.
