Tutong: Some rural areas in Tutong District are still experiencing flooding due to the continuous heavy rain. The rising water level in the river also caused some roads to be impassable by vehicles and four-wheel drives.
According to Radio Television Brunei, among the affected areas are Kampung Benutan, Kampung Rambai, Kampung Kuala Ungar as well as part of Kampung Panchong and Kampung Layong. The Fire and Rescue Department will continue to monitor the water level in the affected areas, deploying boat assets and personnel on duty in Kampung Benutan. The Tutong District Disaster Management Committee, DDMC Tutong also reminded the villagers to always be vigilant and to look after their belongings, including placing their important documents in a safe and secure place. With the current flood situation, there is a risk of wild animal threat, therefore the public are advised not to do activities such as swimming or taking a bath in flooded areas.
