The China Day which is currently held in the country is organised upon the vision of making a positive contribution through China’s One Belt One Road initiative to promote Brunei Darussalam’s socio-economic development. In addition, it is also to encourage and foster businesses, trades, investments and cultural exchanges between Brunei Darussalam and China. The China Day was launched on 16th December afternoon, in conjunction with Brunei December Festival at the International Convention Centre, Berakas.
It was officially launched by Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary for Sports at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports together with Mr. Wang Haitao, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Brunei Darussalam; Mr. Jackson Ting, of the Brunei One Belt One Road Association; and Mr. Li Feng, Chairman of Chinese Enterprises Association of Brunei Darussalam.
The China Day also stages the Photography Exhibition in conjunction with 30th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Brunei Darussalam and the People’s Republic of China. Also held was the opening of the One Belt One Road booth. The China Day is opened to the public until THIS SUNDAY from 9 in the morning till 9 in the evening.
