Bandar seri begawan: The Monthly Welfare Assistance, Old Age Pension, Blind Allowance, Mental Disability Allowance, Hansen Allowance, Disability Allowance, and Care Provider Allowance for February 2026 will be disbursed on Thursday, 26th of February 2026. The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, through the Department of Community Development, JAPEM, has announced a change in the payment date for all recipients receiving payments either through banks or Village Heads.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the adjustment in the payment schedule is due to an unforeseen technical disruption affecting the Pension Information and Management System, impacting the processing operations of the Department. The Department has acknowledged the seriousness of this issue and has implemented comprehensive remedial measures to restore normal system operations promptly. Recipients are advised to adhere to the revised payment date.
For the Brunei and Muara District, payments to Penghulus and Village Heads will proceed as usual at the designated counters located at the Senior Citizens and Pensions Division, Level 1, JAPEM, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports building on 26th of February 2026. In other districts, payments will be made at the respective JAPEM District Branch counters. JAPEM extends its apologies to all recipients for any inconvenience caused and expresses gratitude for the cooperation of the recipients and all parties involved.
