Bandar seri begawan: Bruneian art continues to grow as a medium of expression and education, with local artists using nature and personal experiences as their main sources of inspiration.
According to Radio Television Brunei, since childhood, Dayang Noorfitriah Hafiizah binti Mohd Hassan, Founder of Larvsh Concept, has developed an interest in art through exhibitions, commissioned paintings, murals, and digital illustrations. Despite facing neurological challenges affecting her hands, she continues to work, using art as an exercise in focus and motor control, as well as a way to calm herself. Currently, her painting exhibition 'Whispers of the Wild: Brunei's Nature" is on display at the Malay Technology Museum until 20th June.
Bruneian art is now not only seen as a reflection of local culture, but also as a medium of education, therapy and awareness about biodiversity and mental health.
