MPABD and UBD Unite for Maritime Cooperation with New MoU

Muara: The Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD) and Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in the maritime sector, specifically targeting the Ballast Water Management Convention. The official signing took place at Seri Kerna Hall, MPABD Headquarters in Muara on the afternoon of August 21.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the signing ceremony was attended by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications, who also serves as the Chairman of MPABD. The MoU was signed by Retired Captain Zil Husam bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Chief Executive of MPABD, and Doctor Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice-Chancellor of UBD. This agreement sets a framework for cooperation aimed at advancing research, education, and operational practices in maritime affairs.
