Post: Brunei-Singapore Annual Exchange Meeting Focuses on Strategic Cooperation

Bandar Seri Begawan: The opening session for the Annual Exchange Meeting and Social Programme between the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Home Affairs, Brunei Darussalam, and the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Republic of Singapore, was conducted at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Ministry of Home Affairs on the morning of May 14. This meeting serves as an essential platform aimed at strengthening the strategic cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore. The collaboration is expected to enhance human resource capabilities and expertise, while also promoting the exchange of best practices and valuable experiences.

According to Radio Television Brunei, during the opening session, Awang Zulhusam bin Haji Abdul Samad, Acting Permanent Secretary for Security and Law at the Prime Minister's Office, Awang Salminan bin Haji Burut, Permanent Secretary for Security and Welfare at the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Mr. Aubeck Kam, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, the Republic of Singapore, co-chaired the meeting. They emphasized efforts to combat scams, address drug abuse and mitigation strategies, improve prison management and rehabilitation outcomes, and explore potential areas for future collaboration.
