Brunei Darussalam Unveils Action Plan to Curb Aviation Emissions at AAPA Assembly.
Jerudong: The 68th Assembly of Presidents of the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) commenced with the unveiling of the Brunei Darussalam Action Plan on Reduction of Aviation Emissions. This strategic initiative, aimed at reducing carbon dioxide emissions from international flights, was highlighted by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, the Minister of Transport and Infocommunications. The plan aligns with Brunei’s commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and supports AAPA’s goal to utilize 5 percent sustainable aviation fuel by 2030. The official opening of the assembly took place at a hotel in Jerudong.
