Post: Bicol Police Confiscate P6.5 million in Illegal Drugs Over October Operations

Bicol – In a successful clampdown on illegal narcotics, the Police Regional Office-5 (PRO5) reported the confiscation of drugs valued at PHP6.5 million throughout October.

According to Philippines News Agency, spokesperson for PRO5, the seized contraband resulted from 95 separate drug enforcement actions executed by various police units within the Bicol region. The operations led to the arrest of 119 individuals alleged to be involved in drug trafficking activities.

The detailed report released on Thursday stated, "A total of 860.4640 grams of shabu, 56.8630 grams of marijuana, and 130 grams of cocaine were secured by officers across the six provinces of the region." Calubaquib extended gratitude towards the community for their persistent support, attributing the successful operations to the synergy between law enforcement, local communities, and different regional stakeholders.

Calubaquib further mentioned that the dissemination of accurate information and the execution of awareness campaigns by PRO5 have significantly contributed to these law enforcement triumphs.
