Kampung Batu Apoi, Temburong District - The launching of the 12th intake of the National Service Programme (PKBN) was held on the morning of 9th December at the PKBN Training Camp. The ceremony, led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, underscored the role of PKBN in fostering integrity, discipline, and responsibility among the youth.
According to Radio Television Brunei, The speech, read by Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary for Sports at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, highlighted the PKBN's impact on shaping the future of national development. The minister emphasized the importance of maintaining and empowering the Bruneian identity among youth, ensuring their independence and resilience with noble values.
Yang Berhormat reiterated that youths are crucial in realizing the aspirations of Wawasan Negara Dua Ribu Tiga Puluh Lima and that the PKBN has been instrumental in producing resilient, competitive, and disciplined youths confident in leading the country's development. The 12th PKBN intake saw the participation of 470 trainees, marking another step in the program's ongoing success. A Member of the Legislative Council was also present at the ceremony.
