Bandar Seri Begawan – The Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Volunteers were celebrated at an Appreciation Ceremony, acknowledging their dedication and contributions. The event, held on the night of 23rd December at Tarindak D'Seni in the capital, was attended by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad highlighted the significance of the volunteers' efforts, noting that over two thousand individuals have registered as volunteers since Yayasan's establishment in 2005. He stressed the platform's role in facilitating focused and effective support for Yayasan Charity projects and activities, particularly targeting Yayasan's core groups. The platform aligns with the goal of creating a mutually beneficial environment and supporting the realization of Wawasan Brunei 2035. The event saw 240 volunteers who actively contributed from 2021 to 2023 receiving certificates of appreciation, marking their invaluable service in welfare activities, particularly in community services. The Yayasan Volunteers Unit, established on 9th January 2005, serves as a gateway for individuals interested in volunteerism and community engagement.
