Bandar Seri Begawan: By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, it has been announced that Yang Mulia Awang Haji Shamsol bin Haji Omar, currently serving as the Director of Islamic Studies at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, will be promoted and appointed as the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religion) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the promotion and appointment of Awang Haji Shamsol bin Haji Omar is set to take effect from Monday, 14th of Zulkaedah, 1446, which corresponds to the 12th of May, 2025. This decision reflects the trust and confidence His Majesty places in Awang Haji Shamsol's capabilities to contribute to the Ministry's objectives and policies.
