Berakas: The 2nd Borneo Fencing Cup 2025 continued with West Kalimantan dominating the women's Foil and Saber events, while Sarawak claimed victory in the Men's Open Epee event. The tournament was held at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex on August 14, 2025. According to Radio Television Brunei, in the final of the women's foil event, Devia Sheila from West Kalimantan secured the gold medal after a close match against Julia Judy Bangai from Sarawak, ending with a score of 15-14. This victory highlighted West Kalimantan's prowess in the women's categories. Meanwhile, the Men's Open Epee event saw a surprising result as national fencing athlete, Nazri Matjais, was defeated by Sarawak's Mahathir Idongesit with a score of 15-14. This match was a display of skill and determination from both competitors, with Idongesit ultimately emerging victorious. In the women's open Saber event, Queenshya Theda Dilans of West Kalimantan clinched the gold medal with a commanding 15-5 victory against Sarawak's Nageena Adelia Hipney. The bronze medals in this category were shared by two national athletes, Dayangku Siti Syahirah Pengiran Idris and Nabiela Messenger Hariz Safwan, marking a commendable performance by the national team.
