Wahing and Gaccion Clinch Titles at Junior PGT Mindanao Series

Cagayan de Oro-At the ICTSI Junior PGT Mindanao Series 4 held at Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club, Simon Wahing emerged victorious in the boys’ 16-18 category, while Ally Gaccion captured the girls’ title on Thursday. Wahing concluded the event with a 72-hole total of 308, while Gaccion shot a second consecutive 72 to finish with a total of 292.

According to Philippines News agency, Wahing, despite facing challenges with his putting, secured his place for the upcoming Match Play Championship in Canlubang, alongside Cliff Nuñeza who claimed the second finals berth from the Mindanao series. Gaccion’s performance included four birdies, showcasing her skill particularly with a remarkable birdie from 30 yards on the ninth hole. Both Wahing and Gaccion have now positioned themselves as formidable competitors for the finals, where they will join top players from the Visayas series.
