Tutong: The Voting and Selection for the Head of Kampung Layong, Mukim Lamunin was conducted on the morning of 30th November at the Kampung Layong Community Hall in the Tutong District. The process employed the ballot paper method, complemented by the PMKK e-Undi mobile application, which commenced last Friday.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was graced by the presence of Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Mohammad Danial alias Tekpin bin Ya’akub, a Member of the Legislative Council, and Awang Haji Mohammad Sofian bin Haji Basri, Acting Tutong District Officer. The voting involved a sole candidate, Awang Haji Sharin bin Haji Yanam, aged 48, who secured 122 votes in his favor. The outcome will be forwarded to the Appointments, Discipline and Procedures Board of Mukim and Village Heads, Ministry of Home Affairs, for the subsequent stage of the process.
