Tutong District Companies Fined for Littering

TUTONG DISTRICT – Two companies in the Tutong District have been fined for improper disposal of rubbish and construction materials. This enforcement action followed a recent patrol operation by the Tutong District Office’s Enforcement Unit.

According to Radio Television Brunei, The companies, Syarikat Mutiara Hikmat in Kampung Birau and Alek Jaya Sendirian Berhad in Kampung Luagan Dudok, were each issued a fine of $1,000. They have been given seven days to settle these fines. The imposition of these fines underscores the government’s commitment to environmental cleanliness and the consequences of violating littering regulations.
