Post: Humanitarian Fund Collection for Gaza Extended by Six Months

Bandar seri begawan: The collection period for the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023 has been extended for another six months, allowing the public to continue their donations until 18th October 2026. This decision was made with the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the extension encompasses several collection platforms, including the SMS Brunei Prihatin service managed by Datastream Digital Sendirian Berhad (DST Sendirian Berhad), Progresif Sendirian Berhad, and Imagine Sendirian Berhad. Additionally, donation boxes have been placed in mosques, suraus, other places of worship, public buildings, and commercial and banking establishments, in cooperation with the Association of Banks. Charity activities are also being organized to gather more contributions.

As of 14th April 2026, the fund has accumulated BND7,525,496.27. Part of these funds has already been utilized to deliver humanitarian aid, specifically ready-to-eat meal packets, to Palestine via air-drop operations conducted from 13th to 15th March 2024.
