Post: Tree Planting and Beach Cleaning Event Marks Earth Day Celebration

Muara: A total of 40 trees were planted and 230.4 kilograms of waste were collected during the Tree Planting and Beach Cleaning event held in conjunction with the Earth Day celebration. Organised by the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation, with the support of the Group of Wives of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries and Affiliated Members, the event took place at Muara Beach Recreational Park on the morning of April 22nd.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was attended by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development. The activities aligned with the Earth Day celebration's goal to raise awareness and encourage participation from all levels of society in protecting the environment. This year's Earth Day theme highlights the collective role of the public, communities, and organisations in sustaining efforts to care for and preserve the environment.
