Post: Tragic School Dormitory Fire in Henan Province, China Results in 13 Casualties

ZHENGZHOU- A devastating fire in a school dormitory in Fangcheng County, Nanyang City, in central China's Henan Province, resulted in the deaths of thirteen people on Friday night. Local authorities confirmed the fatalities on Saturday morning. The fire broke out in the dormitory of Yingcai School located in Yanshanpu Village, Dushu Town. According to the Philippines News Agency, The local fire department was alerted to the incident at 11 p.m., and rescuers were promptly dispatched to the scene. The fire was successfully extinguished by 11:38 p.m., but not before claiming over a dozen lives. In addition to the fatalities, one person was injured in the fire and is currently receiving medical treatment in a hospital, with their condition reported as stable. An investigation into the cause of the fire has been initiated by local authorities.
