Bandar seri begawan: Three foreigners were brought to the Law Enforcement Division for further investigation after they failed to produce valid documents and committed offences under the Immigration Regulations.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the offences were discovered during Operasi Panyap, an initiative conducted by the Law Enforcement Division, Department of Immigration and National Registration. The operation was carried out in collaboration with law enforcement agencies from the Labour Department and the Housing Development Department. It targeted specific areas including Mukim Kota Batu, Mukim Mentiri, and Mukim Gadong ‘B’.
Additionally, two other foreigners were suspected of committing offences under the Immigration Act, Chapter 17, specifically for overstaying in the country beyond the expiration of their immigration passes. The operation also uncovered multiple offences under the Employment Order 2009, as well as several violations concerning the regulations and requirements of the National Housing Scheme.
