Bandar Seri Begawan – On the morning of November 5th, over eight thousand individuals participated in 'Steps for Solidarity: A Fundraising Walk for the Palestinian', initiating a day-long endeavor to raise funds for the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event began at Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas and was part of a larger series of activities that included the 'Subuh Bersama' Programme at Sultan Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital. Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, was present among the participants, highlighting the event's significance.
The over 2-kilometre walk not only aimed to gather financial support but also to unite the community in solidarity with the Palestinians. Additionally, the event sought to promote peace and raise awareness about the Palestinian situation, while engaging people of all ages in the fundraising efforts.
