Bandar seri begawan: The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, in collaboration with Borneo Eco-Resort Sendirian Berhad, organized a beach cleaning campaign at the Berakas Forest Recreation Park on the morning of December 31st. The event also marked the handover of the site keys and the installation of a sign indicating the park's temporary closure.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the key was handed over by Awang Reni bin Haji Yahya, Acting Director of Forestry. The event was attended by Dayang Hajah Tutiaty Binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism. The Berakas Forest Recreation Park will be closed to the public starting January 1st for an eco-tourism redevelopment project. The initiative aims to develop modern and sustainable ecotourism infrastructure while ensuring the preservation of the park's natural environment.
