Tarannum Al-Qur’an Competition Celebrates 29th Anniversary of Masjid Universiti.

Bandar Seri Begawan: In commemorating the 29th anniversary of Masjid Universiti, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD, members of the Mosque Takmir Committee organized a Tarannum Al-Qur’an Competition for individuals aged 55 and above. This event was targeted at participants from Mosques, Suraus, and Religious Halls in Mukim Gadong ‘A’ and ‘B’. The aim of the competition was to enhance the quality of Quranic recitation and tarannum knowledge among the participants. The competition took place on the morning of November 10th at the mosque.

According to Radio Television Brunei, ten participants competed in the finals. In Category A, Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Tuah from Masjid Universiti, UBD, emerged victorious. In Category B, the winner was Dayang Hajah Ramlah binti Haji Abdul Rahman from Pengiran Muda Abdul Malik Mosque, Kampung Tungku Katok. The event concluded with prize presentations by Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad Ali bin Tanjong, a Member of the Legislative Council.
