Taguig City-Early Thursday morning, operatives from the Southern Police District (SPD) conducted a successful sting operation in Taguig City, resulting in the arrest of two high-value individuals and the seizure of PHP3.06 million worth of shabu. The operation, which took place in Barangay Rizal, underscores ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the National Capital Region.
According to Philippines News agency, the operation was executed at 1:15 a.m. on Xyris Street and led to the arrest of Ariane Tejada, 37, and Jhoanna Caparanga, 19. Authorities confiscated 450 grams of shabu during the arrest. Both suspects are now detained at the Taguig City police station and face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. This arrest marks another significant crackdown on illegal drug activities by the SPD.
