Sultan of Brunei to Attend Royal Closing Ceremony for Prince ‘Abdul Mateen

Shrivenham: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, is set to attend the closing ceremony of the 28th Advanced Command and Staff Course. The event is scheduled to take place at the United Kingdom Defence Academy in Shrivenham, Swindon, on July 18, 2025, marking a significant milestone for His Royal Highness 920 Major Udara Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the 28th Advanced Command and Staff Course is an iteration of the prestigious program offered by the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom. This professional military education program is designed to prepare senior officers for higher command and senior appointments. It is attended by officers from various branches of the British Armed Forces and international military officers. His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen has previously completed several training programs, including the Single Engine Rotary Wing Series 191 Training Course in 2018, the All Arms Commando Course in 2021, and the 1317 Parachute Basic Course in 2022.
