Sultan of Brunei Stresses Collaboration and Resilience at BSP and BSM Board Meetings
Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, highlighted the necessity for continued collaboration among the Board, Management, and Shareholders to ensure the agility and resilience of the companies during the 416th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Shell Petroleum Sendirian Berhad (BSP) and the 194th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Shell Marketing Sendirian Berhad (BSM).
According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty emphasized the critical role that BSP and BSM play in supporting Brunei’s energy resilience, economic strength, and long-term development during his speech. The meetings for the Third Quarter of 2025 took place at the Prime Minister’s Office and were chaired by His Majesty.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was welcomed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd. Hanifah, Deputy Minister for Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office. Both ministers are members of the BSP and BSM Board of Directors. The meeting began with a recitation of Doa.
Key topics such as safety, operational performance, financials, and manpower development for both BSP and BSM were addressed during the meeting. Shareholder Directors representing the Government of His Majesty and Shell PLC, along with members of the respective Management from BSP and BSM, were also present. This meeting signifies the conclusion of the Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies Board Meetings for the Third Quarter of 2025.
