Standard Chartered Bank Brunei Organizes Cooking Activity for Youths with Autism

Bandar seri begawan: In an effort to bring joy and learning opportunities to youths with autism, Standard Chartered Bank Brunei recently organized a volunteering initiative in collaboration with SMARTER Brunei.

According to Radio Television Brunei, 15 dedicated staff volunteers from the bank joined around 50 youths with varying degrees of dependencies for a half-day cooking activity held at SMARTER’s B.A.C.A Centre in Kampung Sungai Hanching. The event aimed to foster a sense of community, enhance social skills, and provide a fun, hands-on learning experience for all participants.

During the activity, volunteers, teachers at SMARTER, and youths worked together to prepare two recipes. This initiative reflects Standard Chartered’s broader commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, encouraging staff to volunteer in initiatives that contribute to the local community and environment.
