Berakas: The Ministry of Religious Affairs organised a Special Fatwa Talk on the Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings, GISBH issue. The event held on 22nd February morning, at the International Convention Centre, Berakas, was part of efforts on deepening understanding on the Ahli Sunnah wal Jama'ah school of thought and Fiqh Mazhab Syafi'iy.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the talk was attended by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti, who highlighted issues related to deviant teachings and practices by the GISBH. The event aimed to raise awareness and clarify misconceptions surrounding the group's activities and their alignment with Islamic teachings.
Also present at the talk was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. The event provided a platform for religious leaders and scholars to discuss and address concerns about the influence of GISBH and its potential impact on the community.
