Signing of Production Sharing Agreement Marks Milestone in Brunei’s Energy Sector

Jerudong: Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam (P-A) and EnQuest EP BV Limited marked an important milestone in Brunei Darussalam’s energy sector with the signing of a Production Sharing Agreement for an offshore block. The signing demonstrates Brunei’s ongoing commitment to rejuvenate its upstream oil and gas industry and drive sustainable economic growth. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and the Second Minister of Defence. The ceremony was held on 16th July afternoon at a hotel in Jerudong.

According to Radio Television Brunei, signing on behalf of P-A was Shamir Salahudin, its Managing Director, and Dayang Doctor Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Development as a member of the P-A Board of Directors. EnQuest EP BV Limited was represented by Ahmed Radzif bin Mustafa Kamal, General Manager – South East Asia of EnQuest, and Hafeiz Mat Jusoh, Commercial Manager of EnQuest Malaysia. Also in attendance was Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Dayang Hajah Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib, Attorney General.
