Post: ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly Concludes with Signing of AIPA CAUCUS Report

Phnom penh: The 16th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, AIPA CAUCUS, recently took place in the Cambodian capital.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event saw participation from representatives of the Department of Councils of State, including Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Haji Md. Yusof and Yang Berhormat Dayang Hajah Rosmawatty binti Haji Abdul Mumin, both of whom are members of the Legislative Council. The primary focus of the annual meeting was to evaluate the implementation of resolutions passed during the 45th AIPA General Assembly, while also working to enhance cooperation among AIPA member parliaments in aligning regional policies and sharing best practices.

Additionally, a parliamentary dialogue session was conducted with representatives from eight AIPA Observer countries. This session provided a platform to exchange experiences, views, and best practices aimed at reinforcing security, regional resilience, and sustainable development. The event concluded with the formal signing of the 16th AIPA CAUCUS report.
