Seminar Advocates for Enhanced ADR Through Technology

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, BRUNEI – A recent seminar on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) held in the “Abode of Peace” emphasized the crucial role of technology in modernizing conflict resolution. The event, part of the Borneo ADR Week and hosted simultaneously in Kuching, Sarawak, brought together over 50 experts from various fields across Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.

Awang Haji Ahmad Basuni bin Haji Abas, Director of the Brunei Darussalam Arbitration Centre, highlighted in his keynote address the importance of incorporating advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence into ADR practices. This integration promises to make dispute resolution more accessible and efficient, providing quicker and cost-effective outcomes for parties involved. The seminar included discussions on the evolution of ADR in the region and the potential advancements through technology.
