National Poetry Declamation Competition Highlights Student Talent in Brunei

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, BRUNEI – On the evening of July 19th, the final of the Poetry Declamation Competition for secondary schools, colleges, and sixth form centers took place, marking another festive event in celebration of His Majesty’s 78th Birthday. The competition, organized by the Department of Co-Curriculum Education of the Ministry of Education, showcased the linguistic and artistic skills of students across Brunei.

The event, held in Kuala Belait, featured performances from five teams, with the added cultural flair of Belait and Dusun traditional dances. Legislative Council members were present to witness the students’ talents in poetry declamation. Additionally, festive stages in Tutong and Temburong Districts hosted unique performances, further enriching the celebration with local arts and entertainment.
