Scouts Leaders Undergo “Safe from Harm” Training in Brunei

Bandar Seri Begawan —The Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association has conducted a preparatory course for its members as a lead-up to the 5th Brunei Darussalam National Jamboree set for December 2023. The event aims to foster safety and environmental awareness among scouts.

According to Radio Television Brunei, 86 participants including Scouts Commissioners, leaders, and Rover Scouts attended the “Safe from Harm” and “Leave No Trace” Course. This training focused on preventing abuse, bullying, and discrimination while promoting cultural understanding and environmental stewardship. The upcoming National Jamboree, to be held in Tutong District’s Bukit Bendera, is expected to attract a diverse group of scouts from within and outside the country.
