Royal Wedding Committee Addresses Food and Transportation Issues
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei – The Supreme Committee for Royal Wedding Ceremony and the Ministry of Education held a media conference to discuss the viral incident involving food and transportation issues during the Royal Wedding Procession in Bandar Seri Begawan. The Minister of Health, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, acknowledged the situation as deeply regrettable.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Joining the conference was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs, acting as Minister of Education. The committee expressed its seriousness about the matter and has collaborated with government agencies to take legal action under the Public Health Food Act, Chapter 182, against the companies involved to prevent future occurrences. The committee emphasized the importance of adherence to government regulations, especially those concerning public well-being and safety.
Furthermore, the Supreme Committee for Royal Wedding Ceremony apologized for any inconvenience and discomfort caused by the incident. The committee and working groups responsible for organizing the Royal Wedding Ceremony regret the incident and plan to use this experience as a lesson to ensure better planning and execution in future events, particularly in terms of health and safety.
