Post: Repairs Completed on Leaked Main Water Pipe at Muara-Tutong Highway

Muara: The Public Works Department has announced the completion of repairs on a leaked main water pipe located at kilometer 110 on the Muara-Tutong highway. The repairs were finalized at noon, restoring stability to the area's water supply system.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the Public Works Department discovered leaks in pipes at four different locations on February 23rd. Repair efforts were promptly initiated and completed within a 24-hour timeframe. Presently, the water supply in the affected region is in the process of recovery, with restoration times varying based on the distance from the user's premises and the pressure within the distribution system.

To aid residents during this recovery phase, the department has deployed water tankers at several strategic locations. For instance, at the Kampung Lambak Kanan National Housing Scheme, water tankers are readily available, while at STKRJ Lambak Kiri, residents can find support at the STKRJ Lambak Kiri Mosque. Additional provisions have been made in Kampung Meragang and Kampung Tanah Jambu National Housing Scheme, ensuring residents have access to necessary water resources during this interim period.
