Post: Reminder on Fulfilling Missed Ramadhan Fasts Emphasized in Sermon

Bandar seri begawan: The significance of making up for missed Ramadhan fasts was underscored in a recent Friday sermon titled "The Obligation to Make Up for Missed Fasts." Delivered during the religiously important month of Syaaban, the sermon emphasized the necessity of compensating for any missed fasts while individuals are still in good health and capable, prior to the commencement of the next Ramadhan.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the sermon detailed the requirements for making up or qada the missed fasts. It stressed that any days missed during Ramadhan must be compensated for by fasting an equivalent number of days. This applies to all individuals who missed fasting either intentionally or due to valid reasons, excluding those who have no hope of recovery. In such exceptional cases, these individuals are required to pay Fidyah, a compensatory act, as a substitute for the missed fasts.
