Reading of Surah Yasin and Special Doa to Mark Nisfu Sya’ban Night

Bandar Seri Begawan: The night of Nisfu Sya’ban is recognized as a time of blessings, grace, and answered prayers. With its unique spiritual advantages, Muslims are encouraged to engage in increased acts of worship and zikir to gain the mercy and grace of Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala. In observance of this significant night, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, through the Mosque Affairs Department, has organized a nationwide event for the Reading of Surah Yasin and Special Doa.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event will take place at mosques, suraus, and religious halls across the country. The focal point of the ceremony will be at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque. Scheduled for Thursday, 15 Syaaban 1446 Hijrah, corresponding to 13 February 2025, the ceremony will begin at 6 in the evening. The public is encouraged to attend, not only to partake in the spiritual rewards and blessings from Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala but also to honor the house of Allah.
