Bandar seri begawan: By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, several senior officers have been promoted, appointed, and transferred across various ministries.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the changes include the transfer of Yang Mulia Pengiran Hajah Siti Nirmala binti Pengiran Haji Mohammad from the Prime Minister's Office to the Ministry of Development as Permanent Secretary. Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari will move to the Prime Minister's Office as Permanent Secretary (Vision).
Yang Mulia Awang Zulhusam bin Haji Abdul Samad, previously Deputy Permanent Secretary (Security and Law) at the Prime Minister's Office, has been promoted to Permanent Secretary (Security and Law) and will concurrently serve as Deputy Director of the Internal Security Department. Meanwhile, Yang Mulia Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohd Zalani bin Haji Ismail has been promoted to Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, continuing his role as Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau.
Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Aldila binti Haji Mohamad Salleh will transfer to the Prime Minister's Office as Deputy Permanent Secretary (Security and Law). Yang Mulia Dr. Dayang Hajah May Fae'zah binti Haji Ahmad Ariffin will now serve as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, along with Yang Mulia Awang Mohammad Harris bin Retired Brigadier General Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, who has been promoted to the same position.
Yang Mulia Datin Dayang Hajah Hasnah binti Haji Ibrahim will also join the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as Permanent Secretary while continuing her role at Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB). Additionally, Yang Mulia Dayangku Mazlizah binti Pengiran Haji Mahalee has been promoted to Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
Further appointments include Yang Mulia Dr. Awang Haji Mohammad Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Awang Haji Ahmad as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Yang Mulia Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. In the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Noridah binti Abdul Hamid has been promoted to Deputy Permanent Secretary.
Yang Mulia Dr. Dayang Hajah Lily Suzana binti Haji Shamsu will now serve as Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education. Lastly, Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim has been transferred to the Ministry of Finance as a Senior Special Duties Officer and will serve as CEO at Posbru Sendirian Berhad.
These appointments and transfers will take effect from Wednesday, 15th of Muharram, 1448, corresponding to the 1st of July, 2026.
