Prizes Awarded at National Preliminary Musabaqah Al-Qur’an Reading Competition for Adults

Muara: Eighty participants took part in the National Preliminary Musabaqah Al-Qur’an Reading Competition for Adults held at mosques, suraus, and religious halls nationwide over a three-day period beginning on the 21st of October. From this group, 42 participants advanced to the next stage. The prize presentation ceremony took place at Setia Ali Mosque in Muara Town on the morning of October 25th.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the prizes were presented by Yang Berhormat Awang Lawi bin Haji Lamat, a Member of the Legislative Council. Awang Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri, the Acting Director of Mosque Affairs, was also present. The competition aimed to identify potential Qaris and Qariahs who meet the criteria to advance to the next level, and to strengthen the culture of reading Al-Qur’an within the Muslim community in the country.
