London: The daughter of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah, attended the Commissioning Course 252 Sovereign’s Parade at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) in the United Kingdom. The event, held on April 10, 2026, marked the commissioning of her son, Pengiran Anak ‘Abdul Raqiib bin Pengiran Maharaja Setia Laila Diraja Sahibul Irshad Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Rahim.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Pengiran Anak ‘Abdul Raqiib began his military training at RMAS in May 2025. After successfully completing the rigorous program, he was commissioned as a Lieutenant on the day of the parade. This milestone holds particular significance as he is the first grandson of His Majesty to complete the course at the prestigious institution.
The parade was graced by the presence of General Dame Sharon Nesmith, Vice Chief of the Defence Staff in the United Kingdom, who represented the commissioning course. Also in attendance were Pengiran Anak ‘Abdul Raqiib’s father, Pengiran Maharaja Setia Laila Diraja Sahibul Irshad Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Rahim, and other members of the Bruneian Royal Family.
