Post: Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Highlights Huawei’s Role in Brunei’s Digital Growth during Visit to Leju Robot Headquarters

Shenzhen: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, emphasized Huawei's significant achievements in research and technological development. He noted the company's pivotal role as a pioneering force in Artificial Intelligence in China. His Royal Highness highlighted Huawei's 'FOUR NEW Strategy', which has been instrumental in the company's growth direction, celebrating its 20-year presence in Brunei Darussalam. This partnership has been crucial in supporting the development of Brunei's digital infrastructure. His Royal Highness made these remarks during his visit to the Leju Robot and Huawei Headquarters in Shenzhen.

According to Radio Television Brunei, in the field of education, His Royal Highness expressed appreciation for Huawei's collaborative initiatives such as the Smart Classroom, solar energy projects, Seeds for the Future, and the ICT Academy at Universiti Teknologi Brunei. These initiatives offer training in AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and 5G, and are deemed essential in nurturing a skilled and future-ready generation. His Royal Highness reaffirmed Brunei Darussalam's commitment to further strengthening cooperation with Huawei, especially in technology and emerging industries of mutual interest. Prior to this, His Royal Highness visited the Leju Robot Headquarters.

The visit to Leju Robot Headquarters allowed an exploration of approaches to artificial intelligence (AI) governance. This includes the application of such technologies in education policy, smart curriculum development, and using technology-based learning methods to support future educational needs.

His Royal Highness was welcomed at Leju Robot Headquarters by Professor Leng Xiaokun, Founder of Leju Robot; Mr. Chang Lin, Chief Executive Officer; and Mr. Zhendong Ke, Vice President. His Royal Highness received a briefing on Leju Robot's advanced robotics technologies and innovations in AI-driven automation. He also viewed a robotic demonstration at the exhibition display area, showcasing the latest smart robotics applications and capabilities. Leju Robot, established in 2016, specializes in developing and manufacturing full-sized humanoid robots such as KUAVO, AELOS, and PANDO. The company focuses on programming and coding, contributing to strengthening digital skills and technological literacy among students.

His Royal Highness then proceeded to the Huawei Headquarters, where he was welcomed by Mr. Wang Jianfeng, Supervisory Board Member, President of the Public Affairs and Communications Department, and Mr. Du Peng, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Huawei International Private Limited. His Royal Highness was briefed on Huawei's technological developments and achievements in AI, digital innovation, and strategic partnerships globally and in Brunei Darussalam. He later visited the Neumann Exhibition to view several exhibitions related to Huawei's collaboration with government agencies in Brunei Darussalam.
